Drama

The Drama course is a semester long course that offers students an opportunity to develop confidence in communication in individual and group situations, and to enrich their lives by satisfying the need for creative and imaginative outlets for expression. It caters for a wide range of students in a course which is both practical and fun.

Year 8 Drama is a highly interactive and fun environment where students learn about techniques of building performances and increase their knowledge of important theatre styles. Through group devised drama and exploration of real historical events and situations, they improve their skills in voice and movement and explore characters who are very different to themselves. This course is very performance focussed and students will work with design elements such as sound, props and costumes.
